I have 15 years of varied retail experience from store sales associate to director level leadership. I have led a sales team of 15, allocated product to UK & Australia, purchased millions of dollars of inventory, managed a team of 7 buyers, and developed high level merchandise assortment strategies. I have contributed to different types of businesses, ranging from mom & pop operations to global enterprises.
I grew up in the small town of Brady, Texas, where my family still farms and ranches. I attended Texas A&M in College Station and received my Bachelors in Business Administration. I focused on a specialized track of marketing, retailing, and buying.
Out of college, I spent several years at Fossil Inc. using Oracle ERP to manage strategic merchandise distribution across the globe. I gained valuable working knowledge of statistical analysis, merchandise planning, and sales forecasting. My categories were highly profitable because inventory was balanced: the right amount of the right merchandise was consistently flowing to the right place at the right time. When Fossil rolled out a new POS, I was selected to travel from coast to coast to teach management teams how to use the new system. (continued below)
